Piefed has an awesome dev. And the tech stack is very easy to read (in my opinion).

Yep! It works really well!

Plus the feeds can be used for threads not necessarily just on Lemmy/piefed/etc... but also mastodon/peertube,/pixelfed etc. Works closer to a big RSS except any interaction like upvotes/downvotes, comments and others. It's very well thought out.

AI is going to replace a lot of peoples jobs and no real government is prepared for the aftermath.

Something like Detroit beyond human where AI is causing massive unemployment and real humans are really suffering. While the super rich are in lofts doing their own thing.

Its not all bad, Ive heard some short stories on the importance of open source and manufacturing your own thing. Theres stories on communities banding together in such times and rejecting that which makes the rich richer. But I personally think it will be far and in between. People have to want to change, and I just dont see it happening.

It would be neat if they could get activityhub Integration. Then we can have Tumblr/digg pop up.

Peertube is better, but glad creators are thinking ahead.

Excellent! If you have videos, feel free to post to !peertube@lemmy.world

You can also set filters in some clients. And other micro feed like software (piefed) can put filters for your user.

Or browse by new. Seems to work for me.

LOL this is from ChatGPT in my city:

A local city - Community Chatroom

Thread: The Great Potato Rain of 2025 - What is happening?

FresnoLocal99: "Okay, I’m just gonna say it. Is anyone else seeing potatoes fall from the sky right now? Am I losing my mind?" (Attached image: A potato bouncing off their car windshield)

TaterLover23: "YES! It’s like someone opened a potato floodgate! I’ve got mashed potatoes coming out of my garden hose! 😱"

SpudnikFresno: "I just got hit in the head by one while I was watering my plants. I thought a bird dropped a rock on me. Are we sure this isn’t some sort of bizarre Fresno tradition I missed?"

FresnoLocal99: "I honestly thought I was being attacked by a bird with a really bad aim. I’ve got a potato lodged in my gutters now. How am I supposed to explain this to my neighbors?"

If you want an easy way to host, yunohost can be a good place to start.

Yeah I had it crawl a site I knew was mostly unique. Left for a day and searched, nothing. I had to give it the entire url for it to pop up with anything...

Search is actually something that is kinda hard to get right. I just dont like having so many sites that are just small holes into google/microsoft/etc...search engines. I was hoping there was something out there that works.
