The world is cheering that the world pedo protecting org is not using its political influence to spread further political disarray. Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good

I have learned that people tend fulfill my expectations of them, so if i want them to do better i have to genuinely expect better of them and treat them with utmost compassion when they miss the mark

they are despised by everyone in even halfway larger cities and don’t play a role there

Congrats on capturing MAGAs role in America so eloquently. Those are not laurels to be resting on my friend

What the heck is a democrate? Is that like a crate of demolition goodies, or an act of demolishing and crating your enemies? I’m not sure your opinion can be taken seriously when you haven’t even seen their name spelled out enough to have that down pat

We are going to be required to interpret the bible as justifying conservative power hierarchies, which requires ignoring surface level interpretations of most of the book.

The fascists have done a damn fine job of consolidating power in the church by grossing out most of the leftists into not attending, now the physical place designated for moral and ethical debate and community organization in society is dominated by the right.

If you are a self proclaimed leftist in America i implore you to get your butt into a church pew and integrate with their community, only tithe if you are confident the money is serving the community, and lead everywhere you can.

Are you living in a different America than me? There are many many people around me who wouldn’t lift a finger to help someone they don’t know. “I would give him money but he would use it for drugs” and “i don’t want them becoming dependent on handouts” are both quotes i’ve heard from very otherwise charitable people while in a church. The very core of this culture has been infected with a deep malignant selfish fixation on money

In an attempt to be more moderate: i think it is impolite to regurgitate the words of an LLM in a forum where we are expecting the dialogue to be between humans.

Maybe, just maybe, we should stop the known arsonist - who has declared they are going to burn all our houses down and is now gleefully walking to our neighborhood with a can of gasoline and a blow torch - before they get to the first house

I think you might be misinterpreting her words as descriptive rather than prescriptive. Mexico do declare they ain’t subordinate

It was called the “tea party”, any new movement within the democratic party will need to differentiate itself in name to make significant headway, so we will probably get a “new party” just as a division in the old one expressed through the primary system (assuming our democracy makes it that far)

i think you mean investor will ever build housing again. Regular people still want nice houses, so we will be back to craft houses built by individuals wishing to express themselves into the abode they live in. To fill the gaps grants can be issues to aid construction for those less well off

If i could take a moment to cite the opening to the lords prayer:

Our Father who art in heaven,

hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come.

Thy will be done

on earth as it is in heaven.

The ability to make one being a christian not by default be a socialist as well is a continuous theological labor for the capitalist
