And knowing him, he will say something terribly stupid in both of these countries, which will make them upset with us

Well, maybe your family called for a bullshit emergency.

The wait times for actual life threatening emergencies are low. But the data is public, take a look for yourself.

It's the same when somebody complains about long wait times in the ER in Germany. If they had to wait a long time, it wasn't an emergency. Simple as that.

Here is a video that explains it to non-medical people how it works

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Pyct1VyEMeE&pp=ygUfaGVsaW9zIG1hbmNoZXN0ZXIgdHJpYWdlIHN5c3RlbdIHCQl-CQGHKiGM7w%3D%3D

And here the data about ambulance wait times in the UK

If you have an heart attack they are there in ~8 Minutes

Maybe look at the actual data before spewing dumb shit

You don't need an extra lane, if the traffic on your side moves to his right side and the other side moves to their right side, there would be plenty space in the middle for the ambulance to pass

That's all garbage from big chains and Multinationals (Kamps, Harrys, Rewe and Backwerk)

[–] albert180@piefed.social 1 points 2 weeks ago

There was plenty of space in the video to move the car out of the way. Maybe you would need to stop for a minute because you're parking close to the curb/car but more than enough for the ambulance to pass

This is one of the top 10 dumbest statements I've ever seen on the internet and shows a total and complete lack of understanding what a VPN is, and what it does.

Well then explain me why I would need a VPN in the year 2025 with encrypted connections and HSTS being the norm

There are currently 2-3 countries where torrenting IP isn't illegal. Unless you have a VPN in one of these countries, there are no conditions where its "allowed," because it's entirely illegal. Even if it's not expressly outlined in a services TOS it's still illegal, and therefore not allowed. Even if they expressly permit it, it's still illegal, and therefore not allowed.

It's illegal, but in practice not enforceable if you hide between a VPN in another jurisdiction.
So in practice you can do it and nobody gives a shit.

American animal "farms" are a dirty and unhygienic mess, and the fact that people still eat their products in the US makes people elsewhere cringe in horror.

If someone asked me to describe the animals rolling in and meat out of Tönnies Factories I would use the same words to describe it.

Our meat isn't that much better (still better than in the US, but the prepackaged stuff in the supermarket is still low quality), no reason to be smug here and riding the high horse

People abuse it

My Man, unless you buy all the bullshit that YouTubers claim VPNs do, the only reason to get one is to torrent

There are no services available to you that allow you indiscriminately to torrent illegal content. They simply don't exist.

Yes, most VPNs will allow you to do that just fine. And they exist for years.

True, usually BIC Products have this french pseudo ecological certificate printed on them (NF100) Like on the Bic Cristal which is supposedly refillable, but they don't sell any refills anywhere.

(Still one of the best ballpoint pens around)
