I am a construction worker in Texas. You are mistaken. I do agree that some light is starting to show through the cracks for people inclined to question what they have been told. There are plenty that are enthused about the actions being taken while simultaneously bitching about the state of the economy. Then they get mad and turtle up the moment you challenge their world view. I'm so tired of trying to rationalize people out of a position they didn't rationalize themself into.

It's coming. They're officallt trying to "declare war" on American cities. There is going to be violent backlash, and unfortunately that's exactly what they want.

Well yeah, don't you remember? Obama was the anti-Christ.

I'm sharing some big McConaughey energy right now.

ergonomic, don't have to move your hands.

I can't even begin to understand what you mean by this. It sounds like maybe you're an iPhone user, which has almost no native universal controls. Android has options like gestures or a digital button bar, which allow for universal navigation from the same location that physical buttons would be in.

tactile, don't have to watch the phone to navigate if you are familiar with what you are doing

Those buttons are contextually dynamic. You wouldn't be able to use them without looking at the screen anyway.

"safer" since you can rest your hands while holding your device without worrying about accidental touch inputs that means you can have a firmer grip

How are you firmly gripping buttons without pushing them? This makes no sense.

It sounds like you have rose tinted glasses inspired by the inferiority of iOS, but I'm making assumptions.

Phablets were larger than modern screens; in the 8-9" range. You were lucky to fit one in a back pocket.

Exactly. Apples biggest success has been looking at all the options being tested by other manufacturers, choosing the option they want, then completely eliminating all other options and convincing people in droves that what they are offering is what you want.
