You might think so but internalized hatred doesn't just have to be aimed at others. Internalized self-hatred is real, and it doesn't have to manifest as outward, malicious vitriol projected at others.

I hope there comes a time where your passion does not need slurs to be expressed in a way you feel best represents your feelings in the heat of the moment.

That's not a joke or anything. Passion can be great and cathartic. It's a shame then that it can so often be marred by internalized hatred, and I genuinely hope that changes for not just you, but all of us.

Plenty of works nowadays that capture the spirit of the sort of cosmic horror he wrote about without the atrocious xenophobia, or at least touch on the topic in ways that deconstruct and/or scrutinize those views in a much healthier and compelling way.

They literally were better. They were not perfect. They weren't even good in a lot of cases. But they were better for these marginalized folks.

I never really put two and two together but yeah. They're just not as offensively awful. That's crazy!

I thought I was the only one omg. The closest thing I could find is the mutation that makes cilantro taste like soap, but that tastes fine to me.

No because the joke is that one guy has the abnormally powerful gravity well and the guy at the bottom is out of range.

Huh? The meme is suggesting that it isn't a hierachy or tiered list but physical proximity attracting th arrows from the other stick figures. Did anyone read the picture??

If I ever had to work on a station with a singularity or a tesla I think I'd just fuck off to Frontier space and start up a frezon business.
