You need to supercede the speed of light to exit the singularity, not enter it. Now we would see an image of the box entering the black hole on its "surface" until that faded, but the box itself would still very much enter the event horizon and be destroyed.
America is so large that it's very possible that person has no friends or family who voted for trump at all. I know I don't.

I live in literally one of the most blue states there is. I know of 1 person who voted for Trump. And if a cup that is only 30% full is considered "overflowing" where you live I would love to move there and open up a bar. I'm sure I'd make a killing.
