I was considering getting an account after being off Reddit for almost 2 years just because there are some pretty large active transgender communities then I saw this.

Mass hysteria, also, there is a more boring reason. Most people aren't really paying attention. I was at the gun store yesterday talking to one of the clerks about one of the AKs behind the counter. Mentions "ammo used to be dirt cheap but you can't get it anymore" (steel case ammo used to come from Russia), I joke with him "well maybe not for much longer". He responds with "I doubt it, it comes from Russia". In my head I was like, yeah, that's what I mean. Have you not been paying attention to Trump?

Elon Musk's action are not his own and there are clear intentions behind them. They were planned over the last decade by Silicon Valley megalomaniacs, most notably Peter Theil (JD Vances mentor) with the intended goal of collapsing US democracy and replacing it with an autocratic system where its run like a corporation.

Elon is doing the dirty work and putting his face on it but there is a wider network of people behind it. His intended goal is not to cut government funding. It is to literally collapse the federal government.

Everytime you connect to a web page and make an HTML/CSS request your browser sends information about your computer as a way to optimize the webpage (screen size, resolution, operating system, JavaScript settings, IP, internet connection, and many more attributes). This information put together essentially forms a fingerprint that is unique to you. It can be saved and used to track you across multiple web pages without having to use cookies or other more invasive tracking methods. It's like a digital form of facial recognition.

Here is a webpage that helps you determine how unique is your fingerprint (and therefore how identifiable):

Exactly, and a lot of the people who were at Jan 6 were from upper middle class suburban white america who flew in to DC taking time off from their cushy jobs to larp as revolutionaries.

I wouldn't go down this route, painting all rednecks as Maga supporters is not fair to them or conducive to a good outcome.
