Lemmy.ml used to be the biggest instance and absolutely full of pro-russia people and shit (Lemmy was in general, lemmygrad was the second biggest instance behind ml) so it wouldn't suprise me

We had to use it during the pandemic and still need to use it, one time Teams in the UK just went down for a good while due to the sheer load

Why is it that when I see removed, it's always from lemmy.ml, is that the only instance with the filter enabled

It's simply linguistic evolution, and I find it interesting how the internet has shaped language. Writing on the internet tends to be very short and conversation-like, so if you want to get a point across there's no need for a full stop. This meant, that when people put full stops at the end of messages on the internet, it started being seen as more formal and serious, which became a tone marker
