Davy in the Navy

Davy, or Davie, is an actual name that people use. It’s not a butchering of Dave. I have a supervisor named Davie

For the most part, sure. They still have the intelligence of like a toddler or something (haven’t researched it in like a year). Respect is only so relevant to their instincts

“It’s too expensive to care for female driver regulations, so we’ll put a disclaimer that our vehicle is only designed for men and be absolved of all legal requirements”

Trump is too stupid to even know what the Aryan Fist is.

Probably not wrong. He might know it as “the white power fist” which is the more common phrase in the US afaik.

My guess is he thinks he's being iconic by mimicking the gesture he made when he was "shot" during the campaign.

I could see that too.

Which makes me all the more convinced that the entire thing was an act since everything Conservatives do is completely performative.

When was there any doubt that it was a false flag? Dude doesn’t even have a scar, let alone a bullet wound lmao

I don’t think he can raise his arm that high

Had an old workplace where everyone knew that the servers needed blood to function. You would reach into the cabinet, make your fix with absolutely no trouble and take your hands out to find a huge gash in your hand that you should have felt when you received it. No pain, just bleeding.

At a location, their servers wouldn’t work unless there was candy on top of the server rack and at least one stuffed animal in the room. I was jealous of their technomancy.

If I remember correctly, they taste fine it’s just that they’re like 90% bone and it’s all that flimsy garbage that turns into spikes in the predators mouth

“Well of course I’d enjoy the security and protection blah blah blah” those kinds of questions are easy to just lie to. Most of these rich fucks have questions pre-screened too

It’s not like they can just shut down the government any time they want. It’s down because there is no budget agreement, which only happens once a year. For the previous 8 months, every court has bent the knee to Trump.

They’re doing something right now. Now is the time to be hopeful, and use that hope to further steps into the right direction. Go donate to a food co-op or something instead of doomposting on lemmy

Tbh I’m just new to the computer science scene - I’ve taken one class so far on the fundamentals of programming and have only seen a real language in my free time as of yet.

It didn’t occur to me that the webpage which references another for an image would still be culpable for the space taken up by the image, because with on-disk memory management you can do tricks to reduce sizes with pointers and I just thought it would be analogous. It feels painfully obvious to me why that’s stupid now lol

To preface, I kind of know the answer to this. I've put on weight before but I was hoping to get advice on how to go about better/more efficiently. I guess my question is really: what are healthy high calorie foods I can use to put on weight?

I've been underweight pretty much my entire life. I don't think I have a chronic eating disorder, but there are times where I just don't want to eat. I believe, however, that's actually not my largest issue.

I'm potentially too health conscious. I'm vegetarian by accident (So I dated this girl right...) mostly, and as a result I eat a lot of nutrient-dense but calorically-low foods. I'm currently sitting just under 56kg (125 lbs) at 180cm (5'11ish). My plan currently is to just eat more often, and slowly ramp up how much I eat at each meal. About 6 years back I managed to hit 77kg by eating 4/5 large meals per day but then lost it all over the years by being sedentary and losing my appetite.
