Isn't there an episode where Maggie is grown up? Or am I thinking of Lisa?

I choose to believe it's the adult version

The chopping technique is about eliminating risk, mostly. Sure for a single meal and being aware you'll be fine. But getting into the habit of a good technique means you'll be fine even when you're tired or distracted

The other issue with periodic password changes, particularly in the workplace but also relevant in normal life, is that it causes people to write down their password. The issues with that should be glaring enough

I did have to explain DKP

"So basically imagine if capitalists distributed loot"

Only if the people allow them to. Don't.

The fuck he is. He was some overpayed dickwad with more ego than brains. Corporations should not hold any political significance, much less their executives

someone who looks just like him immediately ~~assassinates~~ murders another CEO

It's only an assassination if you kill someone of high importance, usually political importance

I prefer that my kids know that face tattoos are a terrible idea...

Ever heard of a cyclical issue? Basically, you believe that people will think less of them for having face tattoos because you think less of people with face tattoos. You're perpetuating the intolerance that you fear your kids would face.

Tattoos don't mean that you're stupid, especially not in today's world where tattoo removal is increasingly available to the laymen. What do you gain by judging people in that way? Just more reason to feel better than them?

And you feel like you portrayed that ideology by belittling me for not being interested in Pixelfed?

[–] JustAnotherKay@lemmy.world 11 points 2 months ago

it'll be ~~demonized~~ monetized by Media.

Agreed.

Wow. Not even an ad hominem, literally just blind judgement. You have no idea what interests me, and no way to tell how I have interacted with Pixelfed. You have no concept of the idea that some people are just not into the things you enjoy.

Do you have any idea just how much content is out there in the world? You could browse through a petabyte of data and it could all be boring drivel to you because there are zettabytes of data out there in the internet. Some of it is bound to bore any random individual. That doesn't preclude me from enjoying the entire rest of the internet.

You remind me of people in red hats.

To preface, I kind of know the answer to this. I've put on weight before but I was hoping to get advice on how to go about better/more efficiently. I guess my question is really: what are healthy high calorie foods I can use to put on weight?

I've been underweight pretty much my entire life. I don't think I have a chronic eating disorder, but there are times where I just don't want to eat. I believe, however, that's actually not my largest issue.

I'm potentially too health conscious. I'm vegetarian by accident (So I dated this girl right...) mostly, and as a result I eat a lot of nutrient-dense but calorically-low foods. I'm currently sitting just under 56kg (125 lbs) at 180cm (5'11ish). My plan currently is to just eat more often, and slowly ramp up how much I eat at each meal. About 6 years back I managed to hit 77kg by eating 4/5 large meals per day but then lost it all over the years by being sedentary and losing my appetite.
