The attack comes as senior US and Ukrainian officials prepare for critical talks in Saudi Arabia, where Ukraine will present a partial ceasefire proposal.

Ukraine targeted Moscow with dozens of drones in a "massive" overnight attack, the city's mayor said on Tuesday, March 11, with Russia's defense ministry claiming it shot down 337 UAVs across the country.

"The Defense Ministry's air defense continues to repel a massive attack by enemy drones on Moscow," Sergei Sobyanin said on Telegram.

The proposed law text is posted on the Vkontakte page of a church in Severodvinsk. Churches in Novodvinsk and Arkhangelsk are also collecting signatures aimed at the regional assembly to take action and adopt a new anti-abortion law.

It should not be allowed to propagate abortion, and it should not be allowed to assist with termination of pregnancy anywhere in the Arkhangelsk region, the proposed law text suggest.

In social media, the church has posted a banner of an unborn baby side-by-side with a young child dressed up in combat uniform:

"Protect me today, I can protect you tomorrow. Abortion is murder," the text reads.

Russia’s intensified campaigns against abortion follows Vladimir Putin’s decision to declare 2024 “the Year of the Family.”

You could just grow your own with instructions on how to make sourdough starter.

Notes:

  • it says unbleached, but you can use bleached flour with mashed up unwashed seed-less grapes the first day to start.
  • boil the jar/lid and water you use to sterilize first . Let cool until you can easily handle with your bare hands or it will kill the yeast.
  • it will take a week+ of daily feedings for it to be ideal starter. Once you have a healthy batch you can store it in the fridge and refeed it weekly/every time you use it.

Nate Vance, the cousin of U.S. Vice President JD Vance and a volunteer fighting on Ukraine's front lines, said he is "disappointed" in his relative's stance on Ukraine.

Vance, a former U.S. Marine, defended Ukraine from 2022 to January 2025 as a member of the Da Vinci WolvesFirst Motorized Battalion, a volunteer unit.

"Being your family doesn't mean I'm going to accept you killing my comrades," Vance said in an interview with Le Figaro published on March 9. ... JD Vance has criticized Ukraine and Zelensky in the past, at times repeating Kremlin talking points.

Most of the time, major international developments and policy changes are slow and incremental. Sometimes, they are dramatic and sudden.

Over the course of the last few months US foreign policy has shifted significantly - and with it, the balance in Ukraine.

This episode I look at the evolution of the war since our last quarterly update to set a baseline for what to expect as negotiations and policy decisions play out - and start to introduce some of the major changes we've already seen, from the US aid freeze to escalating European commitments.

In the articles it describes how the russian politicians responsible are getting flak and trying to backpeddle/cover up the issue so clearly language works here.

Near as I can tell, TVPWorld is not a parody news site. It should probably have been posted to NottheOnion instead.

Wish the company name was included. They seem to have their shit together.

Ukrainian drones attacked an oil refinery in the city of Syzran in Russia's Samara Oblast overnight on March 4, Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, said.

The first explosions occurred around 3 a.m. local time, according to local residents. A fire broke out at the facility as a result.

Seven Ukrainian children have been returned home under the President of Ukraine’s initiative, Bring Kids Back UA, according to Daria Zarivna, Director of the initiative and advisor to the Head of the Office of the President.

The children had been residing in the Russian-occupied territories and Russia itself. This is a list of initial 3rd party scripts the cbc.ca website lists in Ublock. Akamiedge is Microsoft and google is well Alphabet and are both US corporations.

collapsed inline media

Maybe start complaining to your MP that tax dollars are funding US companies through CBC, and write to CBC to advise them to revamp their websites to not use US tech company infrastructure.

You'd think so, but no. You cannot be punished as a juror for voting your conscience. So long as you don't say "I intentionally lied during voir dire to sabotage due process" they cannot even ask you why you voted the way you did unless you volunteer for questions afterwards.

My understanding is that the US maintains control over the fund. As such, IMO, it is likely they plan to spend the money on US contractors helping to rebuild UA. At first glance this may seem mutually beneficial, but it still means the funds are getting pulled away from UA instead of being spent towards UA contractors doing the rebuilding.

I'm just guessing though. I'm keeping an eye out for any analysis articles published by a reputable news agency for clarity.

When Russia ~~sends~~ forces crippled men to the front it’s desperate and pathetic, when Ukraine allows it it’s honorable and inspiring?
