The title is misleading.

I was being sensitive, we had some employees struggle mentally with being alone and without interaction. Some people did not have partners at home, so work was their contact with the world. With that gone, issues arose.
But I get your point, I prefer work from home because I get twice as much done without the daily interruptions of "Hello, how are you, wanna see pictures of my jetski, did you watch the game? (Me: game?, I don't even know what game they mean)
We have work from home, i have gone to the office twice this year. But it is true it didn't work for everyone. Some left because of isolation factor, some fired because without anyone watching they just could not self motivate. In some case in-office meetings are way more productive, and you get those moments when a coworker overhears your convo and chimes in with something relevent that you would never have connection on in WFH
Yeah, no point supporting something that has become obsolete. Foss community often puts effort in as passion, but a business will not want technical debt and move on to the next hardware support
I don't suffer the trots from spicy food. If I make a Thai Curry I will put 5 Thai chillies in it. Could just be what my body is used to, but could also be people who struggle might be combo of not used to spice in their system and not eating a lot of veg or iber then have an Indian lentil meal or something?
Windows11 is trying to do just that; having a minimum spec chip, so they could eventually drop support for a lot of older hardware. But PCs are so modular that you can pretty much add any hardware together and the OS (such as Linux) can figure out the packages you need to make it all run...but even Linux has dropped a lot of 32bit support in the last few years. So it happens, just at a much longer time frame
Does it really help gameplay on the average monitor? If it is a fast paced game Im not even paying attention to pixels
That is high for a laptop. I have a PC, its fanless which helps, but it runs maybe 15w idle with display shut down, and 23w if graphics display is active. 45 watts if I'm rendering video. Your 120w might be the battery charging at max maybe?
I guess I was lucky my UPS batteries lasted 10 years. The last year their charge capability dropped off fast, and one was starting to bulge. Not Lithium though, just LeadAcid, so more of a leak hazzard than fire hazzard
Not all SD cards are created the same, but also make sure you add "temp to RAM" setup so the constant tmp writes are not burning out the card.
Newpipe seems to be working fine.
