As the New York Times reported, Jake Paul has fought 13 matches since becoming what they describe as a “professional” boxer. The reason we’re not so sure that wording is appropriate is because only five of those 13 bouts were against boxers (including a 58-year-old Mike Tyson). Paul has also boxed against two retired MMA fighters, cementing the impression that he’s the least professional boxer in the profession:

The fight between Paul and Anthony Joshua lasted for six rounds, and it ended when Paul found himself unable to get back up in time following repeated knockdowns. People took great joy in sharing images and videos from the knockdowns:

As noted, Jake Paul threw his weight behind Donald Trump in the 2024 election:
In the text for the above video, Paul noted:

He added:

On the same day that Paul was getting his clock rung, Trump was breaking the law by not releasing the so-called Epstein Files (files which many believe will incriminate him personally). Meanwhile, the American economy is showing significant signs of trouble, and millions of people are facing the loss of their healthcare.
So yeah, it’s not for nothing that people wanted to see this guy get knocked out.
Imagine if Jake Paul getting knocked out was the first domino to fall in things finally taking a turn for the better in the world.

I'm so frustrated Dutch media won't bring this up. Jake Paul's girlfriend is a Dutch ice skating celebrity, Jutta Leerdam. Everything that happens to either of them is considered news here, but they never bring up that he's MAGA. Their popularity is nothing more than "attractive sports couple". If people in the Netherlands knew they're Trump supporters, they would not look at them the same way ever again.

The BBC article covering this "boxing" match is awesome. You can tell right from the title that the journalist wasn't amused:

Directing his comments at Paul, he said: "Fans didn't pay to see this crap."

That smile on Joshua's face makes me think he really REALLY enjoyed breaking that jaw.
He could have ended Paul at any point and chose to spend the first five rounds toying with his food. It was probably the most fun he's had in the ring in years.

I'm surprised that he finally boxed someone that isn't retired. Like Mike Tyson is fit, but old, and the mma guys are retired (and mostly grapplers so somewhat disarmed in boxing)
I'm betting Tyson was also paid specifically to not uppercut Paul's head from his neck.

I'm somewhat glad my news diet never told me he went maga as I haven't heard of him in ages. In other news, given his hometown, upbringing, and -er- success(?) I am not at all surprised
Can’t wait to see what conspiracies, rationalizations, and racism the MAGA sycophants come up with in support of Paul. If they don’t outright abandon him for losing. Maybe both.
I keep meaning to look up how the Nazis reacted to supposedly "racially inferior" Jewish and black competitors winning events at the 1936 Olympics. I'm sure they'll use the same rationale.
Edit: well I finally got my finger out. It seems they put them down to anomalies and just kept on thinking they were the best. I expected as much.
One interesting tidbit is that some of the losses were blamed on weather or technicalities hahahaha. Cope.
Jesse Owens (who I just learned won four gold medals) did say that he was treated better in Germany than the US and Roosevelt never invited him to the white house. Shameful. :(
Hitler's reaction to black people doing well at the Olympics was that it was natural for black people would excel at athletics since they were closer to beasts of burden than people and in the future they would be disqualified from competing. It's hilarious that this dude thinks he's a boxer, yet the first time he legit gets punched in the face his jaw breaks.
Turning from YouTuber to boxer was a good decision. Now we all can see when he's getting his ass knocked. I did enjoy that, quality content.
We loved it. We hoped that Mike Tyson would have done this as well.
