[A]lso after Charlie Kirk’s death, the Heritage Foundation twisted data to claim that “50% of all major (non-gang-related) school shootings since 2015 have involved or likely involved transgender ideology.” That was in an effort to get the FBI to create a new domestic terror threat category for “Transgender Ideology-Inspired Extremism.”

How much longer until they decide to just round up the transgender people with the ~~Gestapo~~ ICE? It's getting scary for transgender people.

"Cash Bounties" seems to be the GOP go-to in a country that's increasingly impoverished and facing mounting inflation in cost-of-living. Quite literally paying one half of the poor to kill the other half.

Folks kick around "when does the US Civil War start?" both in jest and in anxiety. But we're getting into real Fugitive Slave Act territory with this kind of policy. Between ICE Agents racing around to hit deportation quotas and anti-Abortion Bounty Hunters getting introduced across the Gulf Coast, we really are barrelling towards the AnCap privatized police force meme.

[–] goferking0@lemmy.sdf.org 26 points 14 hours ago

That and it's a way to get around regulations that prevent police from acting. See Texas and abortion bounties, thank you supreme court

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 20 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

It’s pretty unoriginal. They’re following the Nazis playbook.

And I’m pretty sure the Nazis were following someone else’s playbook, I just can’t be bothered to go look at the list of historical assholes

[–] hateisreality@lemmy.world 19 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

It was ours...the really loved the hate in the US.

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 5 points 11 hours ago

Sure, but I’m pretty sure the playbook goes back to the dawn of civilization.

[–] BrianTheeBiscuiteer@lemmy.world 18 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Threatening people into turning in their neighbors is some NK bullshit. Paying people to rat on them is just the next evolution of capitalism.

“50% of all major (non-gang-related) school shootings since 2015 have involved or likely involved transgender ideology.”

Let me guess, the white cis boy shooter hated trans people so its "involved transgender ideology"?

[–] fartographer@lemmy.world 19 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

More on the nose than Bubba's pelvis

[–] QueenHawlSera@sh.itjust.works 4 points 3 hours ago

We're pretty sure the white cis boy shooter had heard the word "trans" at osme point in his life, and that's what radicalized him

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 33 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Bounties? Being a trans activist isn't illegal yet

[–] Sunflier@lemmy.world 23 points 8 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago)

They're working on it

Nah, it was only to shoot at schools, everyone knows it.

There's too many wierdos in this administration. I lose track of who does what. What is Bondis job again?

[–] alquicksilver@lemmy.world 27 points 16 hours ago (4 children)

Pretending to choke on Trump's tiny penis whenever the press sec isn't doing it. Also pretending to be the Attorney General, but I don't think she's doing as good a job at that.

[–] killea@lemmy.world 9 points 16 hours ago

Replace the word weirdo with terrorist and I'm with you.

I do not want to by a weapon but each day it seems I am getting closer.

[–] bagsy@lemmy.world 14 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Do it, its actually a very fun hobby (although it can get expensive). Spending an hour at the range is an awful lot like bowling or mini golf. There is a lot of skill involved and you get to go down the rabbit hole of choosing the best equipment.

I'd recommend asking around your group if anyone is going to the range soon and see if you can tag along. There are way more liberal gun owners than you can imagine, and everyone of them would love to take you on your first range trip.

Before you go, make sure you memorize the 4 rules.

If you can't find a range buddy, just about every range offers lessons. Shop around for one with good reviews. Most will supply the equipment. https://old.reddit.com/r/liberalgunowners/ is a good place to ask questions.

[–] miked@piefed.social 7 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Grew up with guns in my house, my dad was a hunter. Learned the four rules as youngster. I've shot many times when younger. Last time was over ten years ago. Shot the 9mm until my thumb hurt from reloading. They gave me a box of 12ga slugs to shoot because I was there for my birthday.

The reason I hold back is I'm the person red flag laws were made for.

(Am I doxxing myself? Should I prepare for them coming to find me?)

Buy one. It might be the difference between protecting your own, and the death camps.

[–] frog_brawler@lemmy.world 5 points 8 hours ago

Part of having a weapon is training with it and knowing how to use it. Simply buying a firearm and waiting for something to happen is not going to help you. I’d encourage you to fully utilize all rights that are afforded to you while you still have them.

Personally, I would prefer dead - the record is clear about their state of humanity. What isn't clear is how many people have been ruined by them. The only value in keeping them alive, is to obtain information about the innocents who have vanished or possibly dead.

There is at least 1,300 missing from Alligator Alcatraz. If it is possible to find survivors or lay rest the dead, that would justify keeping these POS on the mortal coil for a year or two longer in captivity. The most important thing is looking after people, before giving into a rightful anger.

This sort of thing is probably a decade off, depending on how history plays out. I just want the order of operations to ensure innocent folks are alright, before doling out the punishment that must be delivered.

How bout you focus on getting those Epstein files out you soulless brown nosed bootlick. She better spend the rest of her miserable existence in prison when this nightmare comes to an end

[–] Psythik@lemmy.world 5 points 8 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago)

When she speaks, she sounds like she doesn't even believe her own bullshit. Or anything at all, for that matter. She gives off no emotions at all. I'm not entirely convinced she's even human. Just a zombie in human skin. AI behaves more realistically than her.

It's scary for all minorities in the Untied States, racial minorities, immigrants, LGBTQ people, disabled people, neurodivergent people, unhoused people. have I left anyone out?

[–] Sunflier@lemmy.world 10 points 8 hours ago

Technicality, women are a minority too. But only by a few percentage points. There's also minority religions, like the Jews. Pretty much insert anybody targeted by the Nazis.

[–] PhAzE@lemmy.ca 12 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Pam Bondi is not naturally blonde as you can tell by her eyebrows. She has transitions from brunette to blonde, and her rights should be removed for that.

I checked out of the news for a few months because I would have killed myself or committed violence otherwise (I am joking obviously, FBI), but I see we are still headed towards Holocaust 2.0.

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 8 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

I'm so confused as to how this train is still continuing on the same course. People, both in and out of the Untied States, have been sounding the alarms since before Trump's first presidency.

Wait, did we all miss a memo? When did activism become illegal?

[–] MagicShel@lemmy.zip 7 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Wait, what is the legal definition of an activist and in what way is that a violation of law?

[–] pleaseletmein@lemmy.zip 5 points 6 hours ago* (last edited 6 hours ago) (2 children)

When transphobes say “TRA” or “trans rights activist” they just mean “anyone who is trans”.

Woah! How much money we talking about? If anyone wants to split it with me, you can "turn me in" 👍

I'll be happy to explain my incredibly boring, not even remotely illegal activities. Can't say them out loud here, though. That's for the FBI to fall asleep to 🙂‍↕️

I wonder how many times we can get the money? "Ugh, not you again! Why are we paying people for this‽"

[–] notabot@piefed.social 22 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

I wonder how many times we can get the money?

I very much doubt there would be a secobd time, or that you'd get to enjoy your split of the initial bounty. They're trying to turn the population against each other, and already vanishing people. This isn't rule of law stuff, this is "decades later their remain were found in an unmarked mass grave" stuff.

[–] pivot_root@lemmy.world 7 points 12 hours ago

or that you'd get to enjoy your split of the initial bounty.

You say that like either of them will get that initial bounty. It's going to be the same-old shit as tip lines, with some clause like "your tip must directly lead to a conviction to qualify" that's just vague enough for them to claim that the deciding factor was their own work and not the tip.

[–] TachyonTele@piefed.social 6 points 13 hours ago (3 children)

I don't think you understand what they want to do. You would not get "many times", or even a second time.

My rainbow flag is firmly planted in front of my house 24/7.

Come get me, Nazi cunt.

[–] DioramaOfShit@lemmy.world 4 points 11 hours ago

Pam Bondi is a dumb fucking troll.

[–] Thrydwulf@lemmy.today 4 points 14 hours ago

My first reaction is that they really are pushing the One Piece allegory farther. Soon a gifted cohort of troublesome Gen-Z-er’s will brag and compare their bounties with each other; smiling wider all the same.
