I've had a few good ones. I recounted them to my dad one time, I recall. Experimenting with prescription drugs as a kid (muscle relaxants when I was like 8), driving in the rain with no license when I was 15, excess opiates that one time, too many sedatives with alcohol a couple of times, and then the legit health problems… I had seizures from low blood glucose a time or two. Pretty exciting record imo

You know your dad better than I do, but the vast majority of parents don’t want to hear those. It would hurt my father quite a bit emotionally to have to hear about the times that he wasn’t there to protect me (he was an incredibly present father, nothing to do with being a deadbeat).

the topic was "wow, I've been really lucky". It's okay, here were are and he's 85 with Alzheimers and I'm almost 50. So we made it. Overall, though, if I had a complaint about him, it's that he wasn't very aware or engaged in my life from day to day.

3 Not unconscious, but not far off from it (but heat in the summer plus also having not had a meal for a long time while being outdoors in a rarely frequented part of the woods)

Only 5? Missing out on some quality entertainment by limiting it like that.

Little mummy mascots would be great.

Or if you could see that before you die. Could be useful information.

"Oh probably i should stop skipping that particular traffic light."

For those in car-centric countries, I'd bet that potential vehicle accidents are likely a majority of those.

Of the most obvious times I'm aware of, they're mostly boring. But, I'd love to know if there were any near death situations worthy of inclusion in a Final Destination movie. Like I'm at the zoo, leaning on the rails in front of the lions and the joints of the protective bars are corroded but a split second before the bar holding my weight broke loose and I plunged 25 feet into the lion pit, another little kid blurted out "Mommy why is that lion trying to climb on top of the other lion are they wrestling?" which broke my focus causing me to shift my weight off the bar, thus saving my life.

This is a party question that I do to break the ice, it has 2 variants. The first one is:

"you died, sad. but hey, you go to heaven and guess what, god is there to receive you, he do something very cool for everyone who reaches him, he want to show you 5 statistics of your life, but you need to choose only 5. It can be whatever, like, how many pens you run out of ink, or more specific, like, how many times did you left somebody hanged on with the high five and you didn't realized. Which 5 statistics you choose to see?"

Some people choose "how many times I was close to dead" as one of their five statistics, and the second variant is:

"You are blessed with some cool ass ability: you can left-click on people, but the menu that opens is something that you only can see, and what you see is not a menu, is a statistics table of that person. Which 5 statistics of every person would you like to know?"

The liberty of choose 5 statistics is the same as the first question.

People would end up skipping it anyway when they rush to respawn.
