Yep. Being a contrarian in the face of a resource economy changeover doesn’t make you distinct. It just makes you stubborn.
I can attest that Alberta is a distinct society. Distinctly asshole. There's a reason she won the premiereship, and why she's been polling above 50% since.
She represents the place.
It's so weird. They trash talk Quebec all the time and yet they want to be like them.
She doesn't want to be them, this just suits her current interests. Conservatives are opportunists who aren't slowed down by pesky things like firm ideals or good faith arguments. Flip flopping is of no concern to them.
I would love if Quebec scheduled a meeting and then didn't show up
Or she wasn't allowed in the room but had to watch the meeting from a tv in her hotel.
Better yet. Schedules a meeting in a comedy club, doesn't show up and sends a text saying "go tell your jokes to somebody else."
Wait until they find out that most of the province is federal land that would stay in Canada.
They are about as distinct as Walmart.
