They've been conditioned to never admit a mistake. It's trapped them in abusive cycles, and it's made them the absolute worst kinds of people.
That is to say, they're capable of learning. They'd be more symoathetic if they were not. They're choosing not to learn out of peer pressure, and that makes them contemptable.
It’s not limited to Republicans. I saw this during election season as well with Uncommitted.
Those who wanted to vote for Kamala downplayed how bad she was for Palestine. Those who were withholding their votes constantly downplayed how dangerous Trump was, and then blamed Kamala for putting them in this position.
Edit: I’m not passing judgement. I’m just trying to show how it’s not exclusive to Republicans to change your perspective so you don’t feel bad about voting a particular way.

They were going to lower the cost of living, lower the deficit, reduce government spending, end endless wars, stop illegal immigration, lower taxes for working class Americans, and put the brakes on out-of control woke ideologies.
Every word in that paragraph was incorrect.
- historically, conservatives have never lowered the cost of living for the majority of people
- nor reduced the deficit
- nor reduced spending, although transfer from labour to opex has happened for optics
- nor appreciably affected illegal immigration, the vaaaaaast majority of which is by people who entered legally but then overstayed accidentally or intentionally
- nor ended wars; they tend to start wars for quick ratings boosts
- nor lowered taxes for most people; they typically end up raising taxes, and/or increasing everyone's personal expenses because of the reduction in services and safety
- I'm not touching the 'woke' shit. It's just made-up bullshit to polarize people who lack empathy.
Yeah, but if you ignore all that stuff and think about it for a little bit, maybe they ARE out there fighting for your interests. Besides, some of those facts might have been made up by a Democrat, just like climate change. Not even a day ago my local Fox affiliate said America's doing better than ever, which is all the proof I need. Looking forward to 4 more years of Trump!!!
