Canadians please don't. That is a state that voted for this exact thing.
Boycott US
Overview:
The community dedicated to boycotting the US until they stop fascism, restore full democracy and start following international law.
Americans have a moral obligation to resist Donald Trump and project 2025 at every turn.
America is a flawed democracy currently being ruled by oligarchs. Stop the backslide! Dont let America become the next Hungary.
America needs to challenge the court rulings of citizens united v. fec and shelby county v. holder, protect the media, implement independent district drawing, and the single transferable vote so they don't end up having people stay home in life-changing elections because they cannot vote for their favourite candidate.

She said tourism is the biggest industry in northwestern Montana and it’s hurting local business.
Shouldn't have voted for Trump idiots.
There's lots of places in the US I'd still love to visit some day. However, if it means risking getting thrown in jail by ICE for liking a meme online, I am sure as hell not going to do it right now. I know it sucks for everyone who didn't vote for this fascist takeover, but you need to clean up your mess first before inviting guests over.
I visited Montana several times while I was in university. I always enjoyed myself and will savour my memories of the place.
Because that's all that's ever going to be. I'll never set foot on US soil again and that includes Montana. Maybe if you'd decided to act like an adult culture instead of a hormonal teen one we'd not have separated for the rest of my life.
Fuck Montana. Over 58% of your voters voted Trump. Trump carried almost every one of your counties. And now the guy you voted for … YOU voted for … is attacking my country. You miss us? Our absence is hurting you?
GOOD!
Feels Like a abusive relationship were one side really overestimated their value then FAFO and is back tracking.
"That's nice. A bit more absence from us though, might just make your hearts all the more fonder. Let's see how far we can extrapolate that curve."
Eat a rock buddy.
traffic by canadians to the U.S. has only reduced by 30% so far (comparing each month to the same month in the previous year.)
30% is a pretty big reduction. I also imagine that the last 10 months or so had a lot of people who had pre-planned visits/vacations already scheduled. I think it's going to continue to dry up as they stop making plans altogether.
Rookie numbers!
But seriously I wonder how much of that is work versus leisure.
If tourism is a huge part of a local economy, that 30% may affect some places much more than others, though.
TIL Montana also has a population of face eating leopards.
I suggest they complain to the local Republican reps, maybe they’ll get lucky and get deported, but not to Canada. We already have too many right wing turboc*nts!
Come for the views, stay for the internment... America.
Give 'em an eh for effort?
Company ski trips to Whitefish were a big thing back in the late 70s/early 80s in Calgary. Why, when Banff and Kananaskis were just a short drive away, was always kind of a mystery to me.
But then, Carl in engineering couldn't organize synchronized mooning in the hotel swimming pool. (They don't want you back, Carl, you can stay in Calgary.) I guess there was a "what happens in Whitefish stays in Whitefish" vibe. That's probably why the ski resort staff always seemed a bit grumpy and were never particularly friendly to us. Now they want us back? Ha ha!
