Basically your digital soul needs complete control of your environment and be able to escape to real mechanical or biological body on whim. Being restricted like in Upload will be nightmare. Then you need to be able to resolve having multiple overlapping memory if you have versions out and about doing stuff. Then you can multi task and consolidate memories without versions of you going rouge.
