Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). When aren't they having a meltdown for the stupidest things?

[–] adespoton@lemmy.ca 50 points 9 hours ago* (last edited 9 hours ago)

Pretty much always.

The media continually paint them as having a meltdown, but in reality it’s their state of being; the reactionary hate is where they live.

If you hear “ does and the far right say they’re OK with that….” be VERY concerned about whatever was.

[–] TheMadCodger@piefed.social 43 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

For such a "tough guy" culture, it's amazing how they live in such constant fear of… everything.

[–] foggy@lemmy.world 10 points 7 hours ago* (last edited 7 hours ago)

I live in the middle of fucking nowhere

Way more afraid of the always naked guy that doesn't have running water and shits in his front yard outhouse all winter than I am of the rich fucks with fancy gates and threatening signs on them: "PRIVATE PROPERTY. FUCK AROUND AND FIND OUT."

Ok buddy. Guaranteed our mutual neighbor shits in your yard for fun.

[–] blargh513@sh.itjust.works 15 points 7 hours ago

Its almost like they are masking their brittle nature with false bravado, trucks and guns...

🤨

Inb4 they say its unamerican to have a Puerto Rican do the super bowl halftime show, because theyre too stupid to realize that Puerto Ricans are Americans

[–] SayJess@lemmy.blahaj.zone 68 points 9 hours ago (2 children)

Guaranteed the far-right does not see them as Americans.

[–] Omegamanthethird@lemmy.world 56 points 8 hours ago

Guaranteed the far-right doesn't see them as people.

[–] Cethin@lemmy.zip 7 points 2 hours ago

Our dumb fuck president didn't know he was the president of Puerto Rico last time. I think most of them don't even know it exists to have an opinion on them being American or not.

[–] primrosepathspeedrun@anarchist.nexus 5 points 6 hours ago* (last edited 6 hours ago) (5 children)

They're Americans in the same way India and ireland were British in the 1800s. Fingers crossed they act more like the Irish resistors.

[–] FanciestPants@lemmy.world 3 points 2 hours ago

Like they're Americans in the same way that residents on Washington DC are Americans.

It’s not the NFL’s fault country music sucks

[–] MagicShel@lemmy.zip 40 points 9 hours ago (5 children)

I have no idea who bad bunny is. But I also have no idea who is in the superbowl. I just hope the commercials are good.

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 41 points 9 hours ago (3 children)

I think it's Football this year

[–] ceenote@lemmy.world 23 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

Football? That's one of the sports of all time!

[–] WhatAmLemmy@lemmy.world 6 points 7 hours ago

Out of all the sports, it's certainly one of them.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 8 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

I don't think so, I've seen them carrying the not-ball in their hands. So it is neither foot nor ball.

Well the season just started, and the Superbowl tournament doesnt start until January. We wont know who plays until about the start of February

[–] dhork@lemmy.world 3 points 6 hours ago

We won't know who plays for a few months, but we definitely know a few teams who won't be there, like the Jets

[–] oxysis@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 8 hours ago (6 children)

It’s the NFL playoffs not the Superbowl tournament, the final game is just called the Super Bowl. You are right on the timeframe though

One of the biggest artists on the planet. Though he only sings in Spanish

[–] tamal3@lemmy.world 2 points 6 hours ago

He's said a few things in English, like "I wanna fuck you".

I love Bad Bunny. Not because of his English lyrics though!

[–] thatsnothowyoudoit@lemmy.ca 4 points 5 hours ago

His latest album is an impressive work of art; a love letter to Puerto Rico.

It might not be everyone’s jam.

Right winger = perpetual meltdown

Maybe society can figure out how to harness all that perpetual negative energy to make something good. Something like churros.

And yet Spanish speaking voters are still erect for Trump.

[–] dhork@lemmy.world 15 points 6 hours ago (2 children)

Maybe not anymore, a few polls have shown reduced support for Trump among Hispanics, probably because his goons assume they are illegal because they're brown.

We tried to warn them....

[–] chiocciola@lemmy.cafe 7 points 4 hours ago

My polls show increased support because they think the bad browns will be kicked out and not them, the good browns.

[–] Psythik@lemmy.world 3 points 2 hours ago* (last edited 38 minutes ago)

Try telling that to my half Mexican brother and his Mexican wife. If anything, their positive opinion of Trump has gone through the roof. They love seeing the "pisas" get deported.

They don't seem to realize that they're next once ICE runs out of easy targets.

Right wingers are the OG snowflakes

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 14 points 9 hours ago (2 children)

“This is a rapper with a catalog of vulgar lyrics in Spanish and English — including calling a president a “mamabicho” (translation: vile insult),” she wrote.

What is a mamabicho? And is Trump one?

My Spanish slang is a bit rusty, but I think the closest translation is "cocksucker"....

[–] hanrahan@slrpnk.net 7 points 3 hours ago

They should have gotten Springstien and Trump's head would have exploded.
