Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

I have no idea who bad bunny is. But I also have no idea who is in the superbowl. I just hope the commercials are good.

I think it's Football this year

[–] ceenote@lemmy.world 26 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

Football? That's one of the sports of all time!

[–] WhatAmLemmy@lemmy.world 8 points 16 hours ago

Out of all the sports, it's certainly one of them.

I don't think so, I've seen them carrying the not-ball in their hands. So it is neither foot nor ball.

Well the season just started, and the Superbowl tournament doesnt start until January. We wont know who plays until about the start of February

[–] dhork@lemmy.world 4 points 15 hours ago

We won't know who plays for a few months, but we definitely know a few teams who won't be there, like the Jets

It’s the NFL playoffs not the Superbowl tournament, the final game is just called the Super Bowl. You are right on the timeframe though

Depends on the year tbh, the last one was good because the Chiefs got humiliated.

[–] Bbbbbbbbbbb@lemmy.world 1 points 17 hours ago

Yeah I know, but tournament sounds better and paints a more accurate picture to me at least

[–] bdonvr@thelemmy.club 9 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

One of the biggest artists on the planet. Though he only sings in Spanish

[–] tamal3@lemmy.world 2 points 15 hours ago

He's said a few things in English, like "I wanna fuck you".

I love Bad Bunny. Not because of his English lyrics though!

[–] thatsnothowyoudoit@lemmy.ca 6 points 15 hours ago

His latest album is an impressive work of art; a love letter to Puerto Rico.

It might not be everyone’s jam.

My removal of ads is so good I managed to not see any superbowl ads last time. It's blissful. I don't care how good they are because I'm not being paid to watch a fucking ad.

[–] MagicShel@lemmy.zip 2 points 7 hours ago

It's the only reason I ever watch the Superbowl — though I mostly just catch them online the next day any more. I don't think I have any options for streaming sports live even if I wanted to.

I remove ads pretty well, but Superb Owl ads are an annual tradition. Plus with the game playing in between commercial breaks, the next day I have some context for asking, "Did you see that ludicrous display?"

I'm fine with piracy, but that's not piracy.

[–] dickalan@lemmy.world 2 points 5 hours ago

I buried the lede, I really just wanted to know what you were doing
