Today he released a video regarding this incident, all somber and rational for like 10 minutes about how both sides have to cool down their rhetoric etc. And then out of nowhere be goes all in on how dangerous and crazy the people on the left are and how it's all their fault - for the next 7 mins.

Two Democratic senators were shot just a few months ago. One died.
But that's okay and no cause for alarm.
- Also, no one knows who the shooter is or their motivations are.
- Also, "the left is a party... " is not aa statement that means anything in the US. They have far right and center right.
- Also Charlie Kirk both said "gun deaths is acceptable to protect the 2nd ammendment" and "I don't beleive in empathy"
Is all hypocrisy and they're just scared that they let the cat out of the bag. They pushed this rhetoric and were out and proud with their hate. Probably surprised they were getting away with it, and all of a sudden, they're freaking out.
Says the party that [checks notes] locks up immigrants in "detention centers" with not enough food/medicine.
Even here, he's literally calling for violence. In fact, I've seen a lot of the right calling for violence.
It's all projection.
Which is crazy because we know nothing of the person who did the shooting. Who would they even target? (I know the answer to this, but I still think it's a valid question.)

All the attempts on Trump have been disaffected Trump supporters. Brian Thompson's killer, based on evidence at the scene, was apparently someone embittered over their treatment by his company and that can hardly be said to have been political. Kirk's killer, whoever it is, is still at large and no motivation is known at this time. As far as I'm concerned, this is most likely another person on the right who's pissed off about something the right has done or is doing.
This whole X-cresence is fundamentally flawed. Frankly, the homicidal maniacs are nearly all on the right as far as I can tell.

based on the comments I've seen from the right on his death, if I were putting money on a motivation, I'd say it's that he got everyone riled up about the Epstien files, then made a sudden heel turn on "there's nothing here".
It's only a matter of time until someone on the left does actually do something like this though. They will disingenuously seize on that opportunity to further their agenda as they always do. The kid who punches his bully gets suspended while the bully laughs and continues to terrorize others.
That being said, we already know that being in agreement with reality is not a requirement for Republicans to believe something. Facts don't matter to them so don't bother making factual appeals to them. Their goal is control and they will use any and all means at their disposal to achieve it, regardless of truth. Since I was born in 1980 there have been somewhere north of 15,000 mass shootings and mass murder events in the US. The number of leftist shooters in my lifetime is a whipping total of 2.

You want an independent court to evaluate their crimes on principles of justice (so not an American court) and if their guilt is proven give them an option of 20 years live-in community service doing de-mining work or 40 years in prison. This is with full asset seizure (every last cent) and a requirement that all family members and business partners sign an affidavit stating that if they collaborated with hiding assets or anything else they get to do 20 years live-in community service (e.g. junior janitor at a refugee camp in Bangladesh) or 40 years prison.
That being said, the world has its own reality outside of American expectations and polemics. One can read history to see how things do actually work out.
Elon has been scared shitless since that CEO was murdered in NYC. He's been carrying his human shield kid around with him everywhere and he's got like 20 bodyguards with him at all times. Man knows nobody likes him.

I generally oppose capital punishment, with possible exceptions for high treason (in times of war) or enabling mass deaths for personal benefits (no playing dumb).
My point is that full asset seizure and real multi-decade challenging community service work is a much better long term option.
You have to have a legal system willing to punish billionaires, not one beholden to them, for your point to work.
That doesn't exist in the US, so it's a moot point.

There are so many things I find suspicious and annoying about this whole thing. For some reason, everyone all of a sudden thinks this man was a national hero while most people I meet in real life have never even heard of him. So many people, especially online and in the media, have been calling for violence after this and all at the same time (almost like it was coordinated with the bots and Russian trolls to go all out) and all with literally zero proof of why the shooter did what they did and who they were. And all of this happening around the same time as the Epstein birthday book while Charlie Kirk himself has been saying that he wanted it all released.
