In conversation, in online interactions, in social media, among our family and friends who support MAGA, in town halls, in Dem political messaging writ large. Everywhere. Appealing to moral arguments won’t work. We have to focus on the central messaging they rallied around and show them how Trump is failing them, as well as outright betraying them. Here are my ideas and please add to the list:

A bleak jobs report

A growing outcry from struggling farmers due to Trump’s trade wars

No Epstein transparency

Trump challenged 2A and the NRA openly and firmly rejected it

Per the CPI, grocery prices continue to rise

Trillions added to the deficit

Rural hospital closures citing loss in Medicaid revenue

No peace deal in Ukraine

Multi-billion dollar revenue losses due to historic tourism lows

Medicare and Medicaid were not spared, like he promised they would be

Edit: If you live in a red state with red reps like I do - Get. On. Their. Socials. And publicly address issues you know MAGA cares about. Seriously. I’ve been hounding my reps about the economy, jobs, Trump challenging 2A and the NRA response, and other state specific issues, etc. And the beauty of getting on their social media is that everyone sees it, including their supporters. So comment about issues you know they care about.

Don’t advocate for issues you don’t agree with, of course. But there IS crossover. Such as the economy, the erosion of the Constitution, an increased deficit, working class struggles, local issues, etc. When I criticize about Epstein, I circle back to the fact that human trafficking is an issue in my state that affects us, etc.

Edit 2: Sort of ashamed I didn’t list it initially - but our treatment of veterans and DOGE’s gutting of the VA.
