I bought some cheap Chinese 2-way radios. The packaging has a big American flag and a "Designed in U.S.A." claim, which I suspect is bullshit given the company involved. Also, there are two Bible verses referenced. This smacks of pandering to a particular slice of conservative Americans. All I want is cheap radios for skiing with my kids next winter, not a reminder of my country's socio-political bullshit.

I love when this happens so I know who to stop giving business.

Lol you're gonna run out of companies to buy from and have to live in the woods like a hermit. Every company does this, not matter how big or small.

Like... farmers are mostly conservstive and likely voted for a fascist, are you gonna stop buying food grown by farmers and grow your own?

Weird, because baofeng is such an American name. Definitely designed in USA.

Ah wait. They mention package designed in USA. Yes that is totally believable. And then a unique color theme for the American version.

They know how pandering to political powers works.

If it's any consolation, just think how much joy and laughter it's created in Guangdong or wherever.

Something not to order as a European.

The elites don’t want you to know this but the flags of the USA are free you can put them on your packaging I have 458 flags.

not American. Explain why black and white strips are politically charged ?

The bible verses are so dumb lol

Black and gray flags are used by the US military on some uniforms. Civilians also sometimes display them as "no quarter" flags, meaning the person displaying the flag will show no mercy to any perceived enemies. For both of these reasons the right-wing nationalist crowd likes them.

It doesn't really mean anything, but conservatives parade it around alot. I wouldn't be caught dead wearing a black and white American flag. Maybe someone else is more knoweledgable.
