Whether we like it or not, the online front is significantly important to American politics now. A big reason why conservatives won is due to their dominance in online spaces. If we want to win this culture war, I believe its important we show massive support to any politician willing to take an aggressive and vocal stance against fascism.

This extends to content creators as well, in no world should "asmongold" be the biggest online political pundit opposed to someone like Mehdi or Legal Eagle.

It's better than nothing I guess. But the dems have been pretty useless as an opposition so far and it's depressing that tweets from newsome are currently the best on offer.

Although the US does have an inherent problem in its system (amongst many problems) in that there isn't a leader of the opposition in the same way as in parliamentary democracies. Political opposition and attention tends to coalesce around such people in places like the UK or Canada.

Trump managed to be defacto Republican leader while out of the white house, managing to get attention and interest despite in his base having no official role. The dems don't have a figurehead to unite them. Particularly as the party refuse to coalesce around popular voices like Bernie Sanders and others on the left who do seems.to be cutting through.

Truth. If the Do-Fuck-All Dems don't take this and run it down to the very last fascist... I don't even know. ๐Ÿ˜ถ

Reminder that Newsom cozied up with the fascists too.

Fuck off. We're not MAGA; we don't have to believe he's Jesus to support him. Recognize that a white man in power is fighting back. It takes a lot to motivate them to do that. Are you in the big tent or not?

Supporting the politician despite their giant flaws is what MAGA does.

And I'm pretty sure the motivation is just money. The "fighting back" is just some parody tweets. Hardly fighting back against literal dictatorship takeover.

Not to mention bit hypocritical to ask if I'm in the big tent or not when you're the one defending someone who wants to keep the left wing out of the tent when it comes to wielding power.

If the tent includes fascists like Charlie Kirk, then it's better burned down that left up. Otherwise it's just a colorful mirror of the MAGA tent.

Can you elaborate how severely? Perfect is the enemy of good.

Basically he rizzed up Charlie Kirk up in the first couple episodes of his podcast, and that's just one example.

That's excluding his history as a corporate stooge and anti privacy supporter.

Look up who he had on on the first few episodes of his podcast.

I can't tell if that's Newsom or a bot they suddenly tasked with key points to be made in mimicry... And, I don't care. ๐Ÿคฃ
