Mildly Interesting

This is for strictly mildly interesting material. If it's too interesting, it doesn't belong. If it's not interesting, it doesn't belong.

This is obviously an objective criteria, so the mods are always right. Or maybe mildly right? Ahh.. what do we know?

Just post some stuff and don't spam.

I wonder about the hygiene

Might be different in Korea, but as of 2015 breaths are no longer required for CPR per American Heart Association guidelines. Easy enough to wipe down the chest with an alcohol wipe between users.

Same rules as the gym: wipe it down when you're done with it.

It's tempting but don't put your dick in it and you should be ok. Modern cpr does not involve mouth to mouth. Stereotyping a bit, but Korea in general is pretty clean-conscious - I wouldn't be too worried about putting your hands on this. Learning good cpr is the most likely way anyone can become a true life saver. Wash your hands and give it a go. I've seen these at airports in the states too.

How did I get herpes?

Yeah that was me but you were really good last night.

YOU'RE ALIVE!!?

Like I said, you were really good.

Chest compression only is acceptable.

Do it! Push hard & fast.

Cool idea but it ought to be paired with a remotely-operated pepperball turret or something to deter vandals and pervs.

What, do you want me to hang around the paraplegic wing of the hospital? This is way safer for everyone involved.

One time I found a solid plastic suitcase in an alley and couldn't resist opening it to see what it was. It was a dummy just like this but for intubation (I think). It was brand new with all the accessories still in plastic

I sold it for $1200....but not before hiding it in the fridge for my roommate to find

So you sold a lost, expensive educational equipment..?

[–] glimse@lemmy.world 5 points 18 hours ago

You're right. I hadn't considered the possibility that someone might have accidentally lost their expensive medical dummy next to the dumpster in the alley on garbage day. What a fool I was!
