Honestly I was just thinking about this last night. Trump dying before his term is up is probably the worst case scenario because it not only gives Vance (Peter Thiel) control, but it also gives him a chance to "prove" he can lead and will make it easier for Rs to want to vote for him.
JD Vance has the charisma of a semen-stained Chesterfield. Nobody likes him. He was picked specifically because he's a nobody and won't challenge the Trump agenda. If he were in charge, it all falls apart.

A vance presidency ends in 2028. A trump presidency won't. Both will have destroyed most of the US in the process.
Also, if he died just after after January 20, 2027, Vance could theoretically have 10 years in charge.

Nothing above-board, I think.
But it's hard to project a strong man image if people find out humanising vulnerabilities like arthritis or low blood pressure.
