Mine was pink and horrible. But I loved it. I mean, they were cheap and lasted a long time. In fact, every now and then I visit some local shops and still find them around.

I had a pink one too. I think my dad is still using it sometimes

My younger sister had one of them but I'm just old enough to have had an actual stereo with speakers set up in the corners of my room. They seem to have gone out of style now that we're all consuming sounds on our phones (I'm including myself here). Now get off my lawn before I ramble more.

I inherited alot of audiobooks on cassettes from my older sister, I listened to one almost every night to fall asleep.

Had some Brittish audioplays. Good times with Dr. Who, Sapphire & Steel and various audio adventure novels.

Recently dug one up. My older kid is interested in retro tech, so he has the boom box, a record player and a cassette player. He’s started buying vinyl and cassettes, and discovered my old crate of CDs in the basement

I had a weird CD/Cassette boombox in HS. The CD player could be pulled out and had its own battery compartment so it could be a portable CD player. The CD player took 6 AA batteries and had no skip protection.

I had a very similar CD/cassette/radio as a teen. Used to sit listening to the Top 40 and hitting record just as the good songs came on.

Great days.
