Why the actual fuck are there more than 1300 people working on those shitty ass sites?

[–] PumaStoleMyBluff@lemmy.world 47 points 2 days ago

And that's only 6% of their employees, wtf

I would guess their shittiness pervades their corporate management techniques and hiring practices, resulting in ever increasing shittiness of their product 🤷‍♂️

Both companies are owned by a large Japanese conglomerate. They got lucky with indeed, and have used little of its unbelievable market share to solidify it's position and improve the product. Indeed, properly managed, would print money and go parabolic as a stock. Instead it's just sat there because both sites suck and exist on inertia.

I'd imagine after being laid off from a big job website, you'd be hesitant to use said big job website to find a new job

AI can't do the work of anyone. It's a cover story so they save face as they slash jobs.

When being asked about the hole in my resume I hope I can save face by saying : "I used AI to replace my employer for the said time because AI is such a revolutionary technology" .

Oh boy, they are going to get so many bad Glassdoor reviews.

Why did they have that many employees to begin with??? WTF.

[–] Plebcouncilman@sh.itjust.works 24 points 2 days ago

I mean. Why exactly does this website need so many employees? You could probably run the website with less than a 100

Indeed has been steadily enshitifying for quite some time so this tracks.

You must not be a six sigma black belt

I feel vindicated for not making an account to see more than 1 page of results now. They can get bent (like they will when this AI move bites them in the ass)

Indeed has gone to shit. If you want to see how bad it is, just try typing something into its search bar. I swear it’s sending synchronous commands to an overloaded back end because if you type any faster than 5 WPM it loses keystroke. You literally have to put massive delays in anything you type to get it correct.
