We kinda would have won a long time ago if Europe and America had responded to Russia's actions instantly, strongly and effectively.

I think, and this is shitty, that those in power in the Democratic and Republican parties wanted a long counterinsurgency conflict they could fund, profit off of and weaken/distract Russia.

The amazing thing is Ukraine didn't get the memo and I really don't think the political military industrial complex in the US in general knew how to handle it.

Ughhh

The difference now is while Trump doesn't want Ukraine to win, he actually can't really do anything about it.

They essentially get to offload all their old gear with reason to replace with the latest and greatest.

Putin’s ultimate fate is in a prison.

I don't think that will happen, there is no inbetween for him, it's either impunity or death.

Do you think that prison is enough punishment for him, and that he will really serve his sentence fairly, and not receive special treatment and better conditions than other prisoners?

Isolation cell in a cold damp prison.

One can always dream... He'll probably go out the window when the war gets too costly.

I think Putin deserves a rope around his feet, tbh

Russia is decisively losing, I would end the war if I were them.

The increase in Self Propelled Artillery in Ukraine and 155 artillery shells in the last couple months is intimidating af given Ukraine has managed to survive so long without it and yet have legions of highly skilled drone operators that can spot for artillery ready to do so.

This isn't to say Ukraine can afford to fight forever but rather Russia is dismantling itself the longer it fights this war.
