And that’s basically it!
"Hey cannibal soldier! Don't eat your comrades!"
"I promise not to eat any of the alive ones sir!'
"Good enough."
Why do you think they knew beforehand?
Did he wear a "cannibal and proud" shirt?
Probably get hired directly from a prison where he served his life sentence
Well he's called cannibal soldier for starters
Ya'know we used to call him "Brelok," but then we found out he just loves cannibalism so we started calling him "Comrade Cannibal."
There does seem to be an at least western-media-reportable level of known-prior-cannibalism amongst the current forces: https://www.bbc.com/audio/play/p0gvsjgz [it's audio only, sorry - first reputable source I could find]
Whether they knew for the specific person in the current report or not, no idea
How can one know if this is authentic?
It's probably not. This sort of propaganda has been used by militaries throughout history to dehumanize the enemy.
We-ell, I've seen it in a Russian TG chat. IIRC the conversation implies two soldiers deserted, were in a house in the middle of nowhere, one killed another, ate him for a couple of weeks, then died. Then their, eh, brothers in arms found that place.
I wouldn't be that surprised since they are pulling people from the bottom of the barrel.
classic Brelok
Did he get a medal for streamlining food logistics?
Strelok's evil twin.
Human meat can't be that good can it?
kinda interested in this
Probably russian comrade meat has a bit of cigarette and vodka flavour. I'll have to admit that's not my ideal flavour profile.
