/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

My stupid shampoo brand reformulated and started putting wheat and corn protein in the mix, neither of which I can tolerate in my diet. I had painful zits all over my scalp and one particularly painful one in my ear.

I didn’t realize I have to read the ingredients for my fucking soap now too.

Garnier Fructis, BTW

That's all kinds of fucked up.

There's probably a class action for that sort of thing.

I’ve thought about pulling a Schumer and sending a very strongly worded letter

Considering you've thought about it, you're already ahead of 95% of congress.

The absolute worst place is in the crease between your nose and face. Can't even pop those fuckers because of the odd location.

[–] teft@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago

I had one inside my nose once. The fucker hurt so bad and I could do nothing but wait it out.

Yes, I hate them! And apparently you can literally fucking die from messing with them too?!

Then I should be dead a hundred times over from popping so many of em over the years

The worst one imo are inside your nose. That shit sucks.

[–] dejected_warp_core@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago

Do you have a source for that? I get maybe 2 a year.

Had one on the inside of my ear hole. Felt like Chekov.

I saw a photo of one on the lip of an eyelid right next to the eye and I wanted to scratch my own face off at the horror.

For a few years now I've been getting some that hurt, get really thick and can't be popped. I have to wait for them to go away on their own. Until then: pain.

The big ones that are deeper under the skin than regular white-heads. I try popping them but only end up scraping off the top layer of skin
