Donald Trump ordered ICE officers to prioritize deportations in Democrat-run cities in a wild Truth Social rant Sunday night.

Trump issued the unprecedented, politically motivated orders just hours after millions of protesters gathered in major American cities, calling for Trump’s megalomania to be curbed.

Trump told ICE staff to “do all in their power” to detain and deport undocumented immigrants in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York.

Protests in these cities—and many more Democrat-controlled districts—attracted millions of citizens on Saturday, dwarfing the crowd that attended Trump’s birthday parade in Washington, D.C.

Sure looks illegal to me. I keep hoping one of his crimes will be the straw that breaks the camel's back, but damned if this isn't one tough camel.

If he knows there are millions and millions of illegal aliens, why is he rounding up the legal ones?

[–] Boddhisatva@lemmy.world 120 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Ding! Ding! Ding!

This is why I am having a hard time feeling bad for Trump supporters who just found out that Trump wants them out too despite them being legal residents. There were never enough undocumented immigrants to meet the deportation numbers he wants. He was always planning on cancelling work and student visas and anything else to kick brown people out of the country.

He's a racist piece of shit

  • “millions and millions” is total bs
  • technically they’re probably not. It looks like they have a bunch of new unqualified people and set impossible quotas.

While I would never have sympathy for any officers knowingly complying with illegal orders, it also fits with the current administration that management is by bullying, threats, impossible demands, and no concern for correctness until a scapegoat is needed

That’s got Stephen Miller’s fingerprints all over it.

Any semi-coherent post from Donnie is written by someone other than him. If he posted it he would have gotten distracted halfway through.

Although, Hegseth (or whoever wrote it) does a wonderful job with all the random Capitalization Everywhere.

Trump is a desperate pathetic wannabe despot and should be treated like the bitch he is. Tied up to a fuckin post for everyone to gawk at. ICE should be treated with the same contempt.

Preventing admission of anyone who undermines the domestic tranquility of the United States.

Any reasonable interpretation of this means that he just gave the order to keep himself from returning.

[–] mechoman444@lemmy.world 24 points 1 day ago

Illegal aliens is starting to sound a lot like "Jews".

I wouldn't be surprised if our president went off an bankers next.

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 17 points 1 day ago (3 children)

The population of those cities combined is around 15 million. He wants to deport millions upon millions. Whatcha gonna do about the crumbling infrastructure and buildings that will become ghost towns and ruins. Can't become great with manufacturing if we don't have people to fill those jobs. Even "great" leaders used slaves he's just making everywhere else greater by giving them back their labor force.

I screamed "No ICE in Wichita" for 4 hours, and Im willing to continue that stance with a bat.

[–] Hasherm0n@lemmy.world 51 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I saw someone with the classic John f Kennedy quote "those who make peaceful revolution impossible make violent revolution inevitable" on a sign that was taped to a classic wooden bat. Probably my favor sign I've seen yet.

‘No Kings’ protest cities

So ... like all the cities?

[–] NutWrench@lemmy.world 20 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

ICE doesn't have enough people to intimidate a single blue city, let alone the country. They can't even operate in Los Angeles without the backup of a small number of National Guard and Marines and they're doing that illegal action over the governor's explicit objections.

ICE are a bunch of cowards, doing safe, comfortable hits in suburbs and on people who are complying with the law. (Immigration hearings and workplaces.)

[–] barneypiccolo@lemm.ee 17 points 17 hours ago

When I saw the pictures of the protests in multiple cities, I realized that ICE, law enforcement, and the military don't stand a chance. They might be able to wipe out one protest, maybe even 2 or 3, but they could never get them all, and it's likely they'd be spread so thin, they couldn't significantly impact any of them.

They have to be looking at the sizes of those protests, and getting worried. And they know there are plenty more at home. All they have is intimidation, the fear of violence, but now they know they are badly outnumbered, and the people know it, too.

Crackdowns on these cities is a sign of panic, and panic is very dangerous. Stay alert, Patriots.

[–] peteyestee@feddit.org 19 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

This has kind of been the plan from the begining. He's trying to set metros to be in the position NYC was when he bought it for cheap.

COVID blaming cities, riots flamed to get people to move out and not want to be there. It's geo politics. Once it gets shitty enough he will just buy up property and market it to wealthy.

That's the game. Homies got his hustle. Mainstream or street it's all the same evil.

[–] jwiggler@sh.itjust.works 85 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I want our Brave ICE Officers to know that REAL Americans are cheering you on every day

Oh, how subtle. If you're not cheering ICE on, you're not a REAL American. So you should be deported too!

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 17 points 1 day ago

Many people are saying you’re insufficiently patriotic in support of Dear Leader, Herr jwiggler.

Weren't the protests in pretty much every city in the country?

[–] stringere@sh.itjust.works 52 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (7 children)

The best I saw reporting in was a town of 800 in deep red Trump country with a turnout of 400. Wish I could remember the town. Faiy certain it was a rey on Lemmy but may have been bluesky.

[–] LifeInMultipleChoice@lemmy.world 51 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

175 people showed up in Pulaski, TN. I live about an hour from there. That's where the KKK was founded. Deep as red gets (At least in my experience)

We’re already expecting the spite, personal attacks … even smaller places. My town is still pissed off from the last few weeks

  • masked thugs kidnapped a guy off the street and left his kid abandoned on the sidewalk (neighbors got him home)
  • other masked thugs roughed up and arrested a city councilor exercising his right to take videos from an appropriate distance
[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 64 points 1 day ago (21 children)

IMO, the next "No Kings" protest should be "No Kings II" and then the next III and so on. It's such a perfect name that we should keep it.

[–] LaunchesKayaks@lemmy.world 21 points 1 day ago

Right?? The official logo on the site is amazing as well. I want a decal of it for my car tbh. Everything about this movement is so well put together

Literally gestapo

But don't you remember that time Biden said, "I want double, triple vaccinations in red states! They'll pay for calling COVID 'the flu'!" /s

Keep sharing this, The Tramp's grandfather was an immigrant from Germany, fleeing mandatory conscription to the army. Due to this, he was banned from the German Empire.

[–] j0ester@lemmy.world 32 points 18 hours ago

Hey DOGE! I found the waste, fraud, and corruption. ICE.

[–] greedytacothief@lemmy.dbzer0.com 32 points 19 hours ago (3 children)

He's trying to get us mad and become violent so he can declare martial law. He wants his opposition to look more like bad guys to his fan base.

[–] hexonxonx@lemmy.dbzer0.com 18 points 15 hours ago

They'll false-flag or just start killing people. They don't need a reason anymore.

This whole "don't have violent protests because they'll declare martial law" is a psyop preparing people for martial law and pre-loading it with the assumption that when it does happen (and it will) it will be the fault of the protesters, despite evidence to the contrary.

Fascism 101 guys. Don't be a sucker.

Please. Send them here. In clearly labeled vehicles. With nice uniforms that have large letters.

[–] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 27 points 1 day ago

We'd like to see their faces too.

Otherwise how we supposed to know they're not reich-wing political assassins or cartel gang members in disguise? They could fake their ID and warrants as well, better just capture them and work it all out in court, in front of a judge. Which is better than they're offering, or deserve

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 23 points 17 hours ago

Oh, you mean most of them?

[–] TheFrogThatFlies@lemmy.world 23 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (3 children)

And when there are no more illegal immigrants, guess who is going to have to fill in for their jobs and pay level.

I'm GLAD Democrats decided NOT to Weaponize Justice while being Gunned Down! OTHERWISE ICE might think TWICE about Following Illegal Orders! FORTUNATELY if Democrats ever Take Power they'll Pretend NOTHING ever happened!

All 2200+ of them huh?

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 16 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Shouldn't he be focused on the G7?

[–] NutWrench@lemmy.world 22 points 19 hours ago* (last edited 19 hours ago) (1 children)

Trump already left G7 to supposedly "focus on the escalating Israeli-Iran conflict."

That's not the reason why he left. He's leaving early because he tried to hijack the G7 conference with his usual, personal grievance bullshit and to make the entire conference all about HIM, like he always does. But they weren't having it and they told him to go home and get his f*cking shine box. So now, he's leaving in a huff because they hurt his childish, rodentine feelings.
