I wanted to be polite and thought it was pronounced 'Sillian' but always felt disturbed that it's pronounced 'Killian'
Classic Latin speakers triumphant once again
The one time I read something that explained Irish spelling in a way I could understand it, the point was that it was devised by monks who were 100% absolutely into classical Latin and Greek orthography.
To add to the answer, he's a really good actor (IMO) and you should definitely watch most things he's been in.

When I was younger so many people told me I looked like him. Specifically his character in Batman Begins. I think it was mostly the glasses he wore in that movie. They were similar to mine. Plus similar facial structure. I’m not nearly as handsome as he is though.
