Why is the US President doing PR for a hostile nation? Why does this come across like cheerleading for said hostile nation? Rhetorical questions of course.

[–] OutlierBlue@lemmy.ca 108 points 2 days ago (2 children)

He's bragging that Russia told him something. He was feeling butthurt that no one told him about Ukraine's planned drone attack. This is his way of soothing his fragile ego.

[–] real_squids@sopuli.xyz 17 points 2 days ago

Should be kept that way imo. The risk of telling him is not worth it

[–] Witchfire@lemmy.world 90 points 2 days ago (1 children)

He needs to be tried and sentenced for treason

A long time ago Putin filmed Trump doing some naughty things and now the USA has a Nazi regime

[–] harrys_balzac@lemmy.dbzer0.com 16 points 2 days ago

Trump and his followers don't see Russia as a hostile nation. They live in a bubble where everything is the opposite.

[–] Doubleohdonut@lemmy.ca 13 points 2 days ago

I liked when he said something negative about Putin last week, and Russia came out apologizing and explaining it away. Compromat.

[–] liverbe@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago (6 children)

My theory is there is a pee tape that Putin has 🤣

The “why” doesn’t even matter at this point. Whether or not he’s actually a Russian asset is inconsequential. All that matters is the fact that he does everything a Russian asset would do.

What do you mean TACO aren't they striking Ukraine daily? TACO are you announcing that Russia and Ukraine are at war?

[–] krimson@lemmy.world 63 points 2 days ago

Senile man acts senile. More news at 11.

Next week: "Putin is crazy, I don't think he wants peace at all".

Poor guy is stuck in an infinite loop.

[–] CobblerScholar@lemmy.world 77 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Didn't even wipe Putlers cum off your lips

[–] WhatAmLemmy@lemmy.world 15 points 2 days ago

Your comment reminded me of how I got banned from lemmy.world news 2 years ago — a comment about an SC justice wiping Trumps cum from his mouth.

America is traitor to the whole western world

Imagine a US President saying he had a good call with the counterpart of a rogue state threatening to the existence of one of your allies. Wait you don't have to imagine it unfortunately 🤮

[–] RampantParanoia2365@lemmy.world 50 points 2 days ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (2 children)

...yeah? I mean, they're at war, no? That's kind of how wars work.

Boxer receives double jab and uppercut. Announces he will strike back.

The issue is that because of nuclear treaties between USA and Russia, Russia is required to park their nuclear bombers out in the open. If USA wants Russia to keep them out in the open, they had to make a good argument.

[–] real_squids@sopuli.xyz 23 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Are they? They stopped letting the americans tour their nuke facilities a while ago, basically nullifying that part of the agreement. What's stopping them from doing the same again?

Weakest president ever. FGS imagine another US president just meekly passing on a Russian threat rather than saying what the USA is going to do about it

[–] SereneSadie@lemmy.myserv.one 45 points 2 days ago

He's a certifiable Benjamin Button.

He becomes more of a pathetic crying toddler the older he gets.

“We discussed the attack on Russia’s docked airplanes…”

Is “docked” the correct term for airplanes parked on the tarmac? Seriously, I don’t know. You could use it for seaplanes moored to a dock, I guess, but that’s not what we’re talking about here.

Delegations sent by Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met in Istanbul on Monday to discuss how the conflict between their nations might end peacefully…

I’m tired of this being treated like some complex puzzle, where every proposed solution only seems to create more problems. It’s actually very simple. HEY PUTIN: Stop shooting. GTFO of Ukraine. Return the Ukrainian people you’ve kidnapped. It’s just that easy!

[–] OutlierBlue@lemmy.ca 22 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Is “docked” the correct term for airplanes parked on the tarmac?

It was a common term back during the revolutionary war when the American troops stormed the airports.

Not that I've ever heard of, at least in the area of aviation I deal with. You might 'dock' it at an airport with mechanical ramps, but even then you'd usually just say taxi to the ramp or parking.

Russia will start attacking schools hospitals and civialian infratructure ? Or threaten with tactical a-bombs? Or rape and kill POW?

Wait they're already doing that.

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 36 points 2 days ago (4 children)

this is the kind of shit where the pee tape would have been exonerating. if you're being his bitch without one you're all the more pathetic.

Trump you are a traitor.

[–] Benchamoneh@lemmy.dbzer0.com 28 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

The reason Putin called Trump is to reset his brain on feelings towards Russia and to try to get him to block or otherwise influence the upcoming sanctions vote in the US.

It's so obvious, makes sense Trump would fall for it

[–] Ledericas@lemm.ee 6 points 2 days ago

it doesnt take much from putin to convince trump.

[–] vga@sopuli.xyz 27 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Trump says Russia is planning "horror attacks" because I guess there's no way they can be terror attacks lol

[–] ynthrepic@lemmy.world 22 points 2 days ago

Get the fuck out of Ukraine and things will stop. It's not hard.

[–] kerrigan778@lemmy.blahaj.zone 22 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Yes, that is how a war typically works. One side attacks, then another side counterattacks. Amazing.

Can we get a transcript of this 'good conversation'?

[–] resipsaloquitur@lemmy.world 17 points 2 days ago

Deploy the strategic bomb.. — oh.

[–] Rentlar@lemmy.ca 16 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Putin and Zelenskyy should take turns having "good conversations" with Trump, like throwing a frisbee of douchebag impotence back and forth to each other.

[–] catloaf@lemm.ee 13 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Is that not what they're doing right now?

He is worthless! I don't get why he speaks with Putin? He isn't gonna do any good at any point. Believe or not it's a waste of time and Europe should take the lead.
