He clearly wants Canada, but it's not clear he wants it that bad. If he thinks more expensive electricity is a nasty move he's probably not too hot about stuff and people blowing up.
I suspect the next few months will be a lot like the past one for Canada. Not better or worse.

Looks like. All the signs are there and steps have been taken in preparation. The forcing of Canadians to register and get finger printed in the next 30 days was the icing on the cake. Now we wait and see how this unfolds.

Yeah, as much as I'd like to pretend it will also prompt the Second American Civil War and swathes of military officers refusing orders I simply don't have faith in Americans to do the right thing.

No, you're absolutely correct! I meant it more along the lines of the "We take nothing by conquest" rhetoric, which is equally hypocritical considering the reality. I didn't really want to add an "/s" to the statement... Yes, the US killed a lot of people in Mexican territory, but then they made up a treaty and paid $15mil for half of the land π€· (heavily simplified).
But it's 2025, and I'm honestly not sure if the geopolitical climate is in a better or worse state than it was 170 years ago. And if not worse on average, it's definitely widely polarized.
What about all the native land, and the Mexican-American war?

Ya I want him to try as well. I am so fucking sick of republicans and magats dragging down the entire human race. Can you imagine what the world would be like if bush didn't steal the election from al gore? No war in the middle east, probably would have resulted is way better relations between countries all around the world. Would have resulted in more prosperity for everyone. Would have been a massive coordinated effort to fight climate change. They'd probably have healthcare by now. To this day republicans have been hell bent on destroying the world. I don't see how he could. Too many people in the U.S. like Canada, the domestic support would be near nill.
