The context here is that they were both part of the group of newly sworn in US Attorneys, Joyce for Alabama and Preet for the southern district of NY (Manhattan, essentially).

For anyone who's interested, Preet Bharara has a free podcast called Stay Tuned with Preet, and he and Joyce Vance (no relation to the couch fucker) have a paid podcast called Cafe Insider. Both are great for legal insights into current events.
