From the article:

On Tuesday morning, The Liberty Hotel said it has finished an investigation into the incident and "the security officer is being suspended from their position." It said all staff are being retrained "on inclusive practices and guest interaction protocols." The hotel is also making a donation to a local LGBTQ+ organization.

This shit happened in my state. I am low key tempted to figure out who that is, book a trip to Boston coinciding with that dipshit's return to service, and aggressively "transvestigate" their nasal cavity with pepper spray before I give their teeth an exclusive meet and greet with a curb.

Pretty sure inclusion training is now illegal in the US

I live in Boston. My parents have stayed at that hotel before while visiting me. I’m going to tell them to not consider it going forward.

The Hotel suspended the asshole guard and is doing a bunch of things to try to make amends and you want to punish them?

Edit: and they are doing all of his in an America lead by an administration that is actively trying to punish any company or organization that even whispers inclusivity or acknowledges LGBTQ+ people and causes.

They should have fired him tbh

Probably union or a proceedure to work thru.

Someone also suggested he might be under a contracted company. There are a number of reasons they might not be able to outright fire the asshole.

Backpedal and save face (and pay lip-service)
