I realise these topics probably effect these people on a personal level, but I think fighting on policy issues like Medicaid or tax cuts is going to be ineffectual. There's a bigger problem which is how Congress has abdicated it's role as the branch of government which controls the budget. In doing that it's left the executive able to do whatever they want.
Until that is sorted, all the other individual issues are just policy leaves in a constitutional hurricane.
