Well, we can steelman that subcommentary by pointing to blue collar workers in physically rigorous fields. Many blue collar workers are men, do not ask for help despite needing it, and take on jobs that will literally break them. Will they get it done? Maybe, but they sure ain't no pussy askin' fer help like a lil' bitch.

See what I mean? Seems like if you've got 5 people, one of them is a bad manager let's say; you still have 4 people to work on the job. It is, even with the dead weight manager, still more efficient than subtracting the manager + 3 other people. Unless those 3 are also dead weight, however if you somehow gathered that from the comic... kinda seems like projection.

Idk, seems pretty dumb to try and attempt most things solo - but muh rugged individualism, amirite?
