We are going to need the Traditional GOP to side with the Dems if we are to crush and purge MAGA from the government and society.

Because Dems courting Republicans has historically worked out so well, right?

If Dems want to crush MAGA and hold Republicans accountable, then the Old Guard Dems need to retire. Schumer, Pelosi, et al. They need to graciously step down and hand the torch to the younger, more left-leaning members of their party, who will embrace a more Leftist platform since they won't have to kowtow to a powerful Liberal establishment. Once they can present their ideas to the voting public without fear of reprisal from their own party, they will absolutely dominate elections, because the vast majority of citizens support Leftist policies, even if they don't realize they are Leftist policies.

There is not a single example in history, in any country, where embracing the enablers of Fascism has worked out for anyone other than the Fascists.

Valid, especially getting rid of the cowardly old weenies Dems like Schumer. I will never forgive him for jumping on a Republican smear campaign and stabbing Al Franken in the back. I would vote for a Republican over Schumer...well, maybe not, but I still despise the guy.

As for the rest, we are in uncharted political territory, and we cant assume the old strategies and models will play out the same. Your assertion that collaborating with enablers of fascism doesn't work is contradicted by the success of our alliance with Stalin. He was easily as Fascist as Hitler, and yet he was an effective ally in WWII. It's unlikely that we could have won the war without the Soviets on our side.

The bottom line is that the more elements we have on our side, the more effective our uprising will be.

The battlefield is a whole different animal. This kind of collaboration doesn't work in domestic politics.

The bottom line is that the more elements we have on our side, the more effective our uprising will be.

I am willing to accept defectors, but there needs to be genuine contrition. Not just a bunch of angry people opposing Trump because the fascist policies they eagerly supported and voted for ended up hurting them personally. Those people will never be our allies. They will backstab us the second the chaos subsides.

We are being overrun in a Russian coup, domestic politics IS the battlefield right now, and that resemblance is going to grow when violence enters the mix.

And Stalin was never truly our ally either, it was just a partnership of convenience, and the minute Hitler was dead, we turned on each other. That's okay, at least Hitler was dead, and that was our ONLY shared objective. I'm willing to do that with the TRAD GOP, not anyone who was a true MAGA acolyte. They are actual traitors, and need to be purged out of government forever, and if their treason rises to a level of true action, and not just rhetoric, then they should be prosecuted and imprisoned.
