'Mouth Breather'

Like yeah I don't get this one. We all breathe through our mouths (and noses), because we have to. Yet I read this sometimes as it is used like an insult. So what are you saying? You're insulting someone for doing what billions of other human beings have to do naturally?

I think the imputation is that masturbation isn't gendered

[–] Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world 2 points 19 hours ago (3 children)

Imputation? Masturbation is not gendered hut is wanking masturbation or is wanking masturbation requiring a penis?

[–] neidu3@sh.itjust.works 5 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

I always considered wanking to be synonymous with masturbation, penile or not.

[–] Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world 3 points 19 hours ago

Merriam Webster defines it as masturbation. Guess my assumption was wrong though. I don't see it used much for women doing it though.

Anyway the point still stands there might be some asexuals or people without feeling any beed to wank so they don't classify as wankers.

Wanking, "fapping" and "jerking off" are all specific to penises, yeah. But now people use them for female anatomy too because they're too lazy to find the specific words and are too used to using the ones for men.

Wanking... just one of many male dominated professions

Most people use it to mean stroking a penis. The prior commenter is obviously using it to mean masturbate
