So have phones become thicker again?
Yes, at least iPhones have. Ignoring the purpose built iPhone Air this year, the standard and pros all have gained body thickness (objective) since the thinnest iPhone 6. Also increased or remained the same absolute battery capacity (objective) and batter life (subjective) every year since 6.
Meme is a perfectly reasonable argument in 2019.
And they have headphone port and micro SD slots again like the meme is referencing? No. Then it still mostly applies.
It’s been 10 years since the iPhone had the headphone jack. Move on. Again. It’s a tired meme from at least 5 years ago.
Well, the iPhone Air is the thickest iPhone ever made, so by that data point, yes.
iPhone Air: 5.64mm. First iPhone: 11.6mm,.
Why would you measure thickness at the thinnest spot?
These were just the numbers I grabbed of Wikipedia on the fly.
I take it modern phones are thickest at the camera? Do you hold your phone there?
