I decided to never return to the US after they brought in mandatory fingerprinting. It's progressed so much further now. Land of the free*

Land of the free was written before slavery was abolished. It's never been a free country.

What country doesn't do fingerprinting? The entire world seems about the same in terms of surveillance.

Oh dear, things have worsened since I last looked, including 29 EU states just late this year.

EU passports and ID already have the fingerprint stored digitally on them. If a EU nation wants to they can just get the fingerprint of every EU citizen that enters their country by air. Technically illegal but who’s gonna stop them.

In late 2026 we're going to have ETIAS as well, becoming more and more like USA.
