It'd be sweet if Valve had some kind of trade in thing where you can exchange a Quest for a Frame, and the Quest is melted down to make new Frames.

The Quest hardware is amazing technology, particularly for it's price.

I just wish the OS wasn't Facebook.

The Steam Frame looks much more appealing than a Quest 4.

I considered a quest, before it was Facebook. I was still fooled anyway, bought the HP reverb G2. Fuckin Microsoft.

The Quest was never not Facebook. Meta/Facebook bought Oculus in 2014 and even the OG Rift wasn't released until 2016. Arguably only the DK1 devkit units were produced not under the Facebook umbrella.

The major difference was that they weren't playing it up at the time and they didn't yet require you to have a Facebook account just to use the damn things. That came later.

You're not the only one. Didn't realise how quickly WMR would get shut down. Looking forward to the frame changing things up again.
