I hate that most people's ideas of success is to earn lots of money and buy expensive things, rather than help the community.

i mean, have you tried either?

helping your community is a task of endless need and criticism that opens you up to personal liability and attack. like i have been verbally assaulted and threatened by people for helping my community. i've never encounter that at my place of employment.

earning lots of money and buying shit is way more fun and easy. when i stay at a hotel the hotel staff don't threaten to beat the shit out of me.
