You can tell the cowpoke in the cowboy hat is an expert tracker.

I'm sure this delivery guy was super dangerous by the way he was out in public without lilly-white skin.

I'm not the one who needs that information.

SpaceNoodle , 1 hour ago *lillly

Did you even read the comment I was replying to?

[–] Maeve@kbin.earth 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Yes, and how it appeared to me was the commenter corrected spelling based on your correction.

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 0 points 1 day ago (2 children)

The comment originally, and still has, two Ls.

Do you honestly think someone out there thinks that three is correct?

[–] Maeve@kbin.earth 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Listen, Idc if you want this hill. When grammar police are correcting spelling, the usual format is the corrected spelling with the asterisk.

AI can't count how many L's are in "lilly"

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 0 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Clearly I was referring to the second syllable.

[–] faythofdragons@slrpnk.net 0 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

To quote your own post "it's called 'humor', sweetie".

Literally impossible to tell if you're not just adding to the dogpile, honey.

[–] faythofdragons@slrpnk.net 0 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

I saw an opening for a funny, and took it. It's not my fault you're getting dogpiled.

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 1 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

I'm not blaming you for other people's actions.

"No U," the pinnacle of discourse.

[–] faythofdragons@slrpnk.net 2 points 8 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago) (1 children)

Hey, don't knock a well placed 'no u'.

In my personal best moment of pettiness, I was a caregiver for people who had both a developmental disability (like down's syndrome) and dementia. This man thought night shift didn't do anything because he thought dementia patients slept through the night (lol), and thought it was okay to leave the chores from the day to the woman coming on shift. He'd already been a pest flirting with all of us, so my trap card was activated.

He was sitting on the couch watching tv alone, pile of dishes in the sink waiting to be loaded into the dishwasher, and a pile of laundry for me to fold. I wasn't going to let the dirty dishes sit around, because health and safety, but because of behavioral problems regarding toileting, it was normal for us to do quite a bit of laundry overnight.

When he came back for his shift 12hrs later, I was sitting there watching tv with the patients, and there was an even bigger pile of unfolded laundry for him to take care of.

It was glorious.

Don't feel bad, illiteracy is such a common problem these days.

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 1 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

To be fair, I actually was going to read it later, and also I often say I'm illiterate because I just skim too often.

[–] faythofdragons@slrpnk.net 1 points 7 hours ago

Honestly, same, haha
