America was never anti nazi. They liked Hitler a lot in the beginning, and refused to get involved with the European war.
But the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, and the Americans retslister by dropping nukes on them, but they were Hitlers ally and that really pissed him off.
Had Hitler not declared war on America for bombing Japan, America would've never cared to stop nazism.
Edit: Besides, does anyone believe that all the nazi scientists that came to America afterwards only included rocket scientists and not social science, propoganda, surveillance, and all the other good stuff we used to blame the Germans for?
You really need to sort out your timeline. You think the US immediately dropped nukes on Japan after Pearl Harbor and that's what caused conflict with Germany? Either I'm missing a /s or we are really cooked.
I don't think they were writing in a strictly linear timeline and it appears events of the times were included through free association moreso than any duty to chronology.
That said, it leaves a lot to inference and guesswork at the intent or point they were trying to make.
Playing fast and lose with chronology when discussing history does not inspire confidence.
No, no it does not.
