i wanted to be a working musician or an actor up until my early 20s. then i learned about the shit performers go through and how sporadic work is even if you're successful (see: having to have a day job unless you're the 1%) and decided I still wanted to be a musician, just not a "professional" one. also, fuck being a professional.
now we've somewhat cornered the market on a specific dying instrument. a few groups in the region have offered us positions to play with them. honestly we'd play with them all if they wouldn't all have chosen thursday for rehearsal night, i wish they'd coordinate. we chose the one with our closest friends in it.
