It really depends on where you are. Close to where they are farmed? Hella cheap. A grocery store far removed from the supply source? Pretty expensive.
Shit, where I live there is a grocery store across the street, and then 2-3 blocks down in the opposite direction is a produce stand and pick your own strawberry field. Avacados are a little over $4 per fruit at the grocery store; I can get 10 for $1 at the produce stand.
Oh wow. I guess I didn’t factor that in. I live in New England, and pay between 3-6 dollars per bag. They’re super cheap at target of all places. I usually avoid aldi because they are close to ripe and I like to plan them. When I buy them, I usually get several days out of them.
