Oh please...I was born before the collapse of the Berlin wall, and I'm only in my mid-thirties.
I was born just before the Chernobyl disaster. Which explains a lot of what's wrong with me, now coming to think of it...
6-9 months after would probably be the worst...shortly before is much less risky.

I hate to break it to you — we're old.
I distinctly remember the Berlin Wall coming down. It was a big deal for a while. I couldn't tell you why it was important, but I knew it was happening.
I saw the pieces of the wall outside of Berlin where they were moved just after the wall came down. I was in high school.
Christ.
